I going to be taking a job transfer to the North Georgia area within the next month or so. I am having a really difficult time though, finding homes that are for lease for 6 months to a year. I live in northern metro-Atlanta and am looking for a summer job doing something outdoors, something along the lines of river rafting guide, horseback riding guide, etc., as I have a lot of experience in both of these areas. I am considering moving to Georgia. I want to be in or close to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Is Athens GA, close to the Blue Ridge Mountains?
Or is it further north? east? if i lived in athens would I be able to see the blue ridge mountains. On a map it looks a bit mountainous but maps could be tricky. Or would you say Gainsville is more in the blue ridge mountains?
I don't want to be too remote for instance Blue Ridge or Blaisville. I still want resonable access the atlanta (airport) and some community.
Any help would be greatly appreciate. thank you |
