Birthday Bash at Paradise Cabins
The Tale:

The temperature was in the mid thirties and the rain was relentless, not the weather we would have chosen for my birthday celebration at Paradise Cabins. But what can you do about the weather?

We arrived around noon on Saturday and quickly moved our gear up the long flight of stairs leading to our L-shaped cabin. We were not quick enough, however, to avoid becoming soaked.

The first thing I noticed was that there was no place to hang my wet coat. No hangers, no closet, no hooks on the wall. I went out to the truck and got a hammer and some nails with the intention of remedying the situation, but Weave quickly put a stop to my plan. "Start a fire, while I put the food away." she ordered, taking the hammer and nails away from me.

There was plenty of fire wood stacked up in front of the cabin, although much of it was green and all of it was wet. It took a while but (with the aid of a bundle of fatwood) I eventually had a roaring blaze going. We pulled one of the kitchen chairs over by the fire and hung our wet coats on it.   ...Continued
