Bob and Weave's Quest
Part One: The Call of the Wild Water

Our argument, while fierce, was quite brief. Ripple put an end to the hostilities, barking and growling. Intruder Alert! A group of hikers was approaching. Weave stalked off.
Later, in my zeal to heal the rift that had opened between us, I promised Weave that we would find a new skinny dipping spot. I figured there had to be plenty. The mountains of north Georgia are chock-full of secluded waterfalls. Hundreds of inviting pools must wait underneath the cascades of north Georgia's streams. It's just a matter of finding them. I got excited. I promised Weave that we would find a new skinny dipping spot, that she would be able to perform her annual cathartic rite, that all would be right with the world. I got really excited. We would find many spots, all the perfect spots. Weave got really excited and rather mystical.
"Listen", Weave said, "Do you hear it?" We sat quietly. After a while I could hear it, far off in the distance. It was faint at first but grew louder and louder. It was the roar of the perfect waterfall. It was calling to us, demanding to be found. It was a call we could not refuse. We had found ourselves a quest.
It was only later that I became worried. I realized that I had committed to a quest as important to Weave as the Quest for the Holy Grail was to the knights of Camelot (we all know how that turned out). I pray for our quest to end better.
