Kid's Eye View: Raven Cliffs, Page: 1| 2
By Sean Whalen
Raven's Cliff is an 83 mile drive from the Northridge exit on Ga. 400. The
drive takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Kids need to come
prepared with an extra pair of shoes, a bathing suit, lunch, Gatorade or water,
a camera, and a towel.
The drive and the hike are definitely worth the effort, because at the end of
the hike is a spectacular mountain spot.
Directions to Raven's Cliffs: Take Ga 75 north from Helen 1.5 miles. Turn left
on Ga 356 and go 2.3 miles to the Richard Russell Scenic Highway. Turn right
and go about 3 miles to the parking area and trailhead.
